Prepare and clean materials
- Bring all
the acrylics from drying chambers
- Wear all
the protective gear required
- Clean the
feeder hopper to prevent contamination
Feed acrylic pieces into barrel
- Cut the
dried acrylic into smaller pieces
- Feed the
small acrylic pieces to the barrel
Begin moulding process
Switch on the machine and it will start operating by turning on the
screw. By turning of this screw the acrylic will start heating to a suitable
temperature. The machine will also mix all the acrylic materials. Then pour the
molten state into the mould and the acrylic will start taking the shape of that
particular mould.
Cool the acrylic mould
Now after the acrylic has been poured into the mould, it has to be
allowed to cool off and hardened. You need to control the time of cooling to
avoid excess shrinkage and warping of the acrylic mould. Cooling agents like
water can used for cooling the acrylic mould.
